Who Is Eligible To Join
"Once a Member, Always a Member"
Membership in Firestone Federal Credit Union is extended to most employees
of Bridgestone Americas Holding, Inc. who are not represented by a bargaining
unit and who are on the Akron, Brook Park, or Nashville payrolls.
Members of your immediate family may join the credit union. Those eligible for
membership: spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, and
grandchildren. Step relationships of the above are eligible. As members, you
and your family may share in all of the services and
benefits provided by our credit union. You may save and borrow at rates
that are competitive and generally better than those available elsewhere.
How to Join the Credit Union
Call the credit union to obtain a new membership packet. Mail the completed new
member information to the credit union, along with a deposit of $5 or more. All
members must have a social security number to apply for an account.
Account Types
Your credit union offers the following types of accounts:

A Single Account is an account held by one person only.

A Joint Account is an account held by a member and any other person(s); the
joint owner(s) does not have to be a family member. A joint account requires
signatures of all persons on the back of the membership card. Either person(s)
may deposit and/or withdraw savings from the account. However, only the
person(s) who are eligible for membership may borrow and vote at the annual
election.

A Payable on Death Account is a single account where you designate a
beneficiary to receive the proceeds in your account at your death.
